Reflections: Encouraging Reminders

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a good Monday. I came across this post on X this morning and I found it to be a very encouraging reminder for me so I wanted to share it with you all today and I hope it will encourage you as well.

7 things believers should remind themselves of every day:

1. God is my Father.
2. Christ is my Savior.
3. The Spirit is my guide.
4. Heaven is my home.
5. Scripture is my truth.
6. Every believer is my family.
7. The gospel is my message.
8. God’s glory is my goal.

I must remember to completely rely on God because he is my father in heaven. I must completely trust him as a child completely relies on their parents for everything in life. I would have nothing without God.

I must not forget that God sent his only son Jesus Christ to save me and that he took my place and took the punishment I should have received for my sins at the cross. My salvation does not depend on me, it only depends on what Jesus has done.

I must remember to let the Holy Spirit lead me on my way through life and I must walk in the spirit and not my flesh. I have the YouVersion Bible app and they recently did a short study on the fruit of the Spirit on Galatians chapter 5.

I must remember that this world is not my home but my true home is in heaven so I must hold very lightly to this world. I must focus on eternity more than anything else.

I must keep the word of God as the authority in my life. It is the truth I must hold on to and follow all that it teaches. There are many voices that seek to confuse out there but the word of God is true.

As the days become more dark and dangerous I believe it is important for all believers to put differences aside and be united. We should have one goal to share the gospel with as many as possible and that all we do brings glory to God.
