The Bible has advice for every part of life. The book of Proverbs is one of the best places to look for practical advice. Here are the lessons I have learned from Proverbs chapter 13.
1. It is best for me to say less as saying too much at times can lead to trouble and misunderstandings. I should think twice before speaking.
2. It is not wise to be lazy, working hard will pay off at some point even if it takes a while. Things earned in an honest way last longer.
3. Speaking the truth is always going to be better than keeping up a lie. It is better to do the right thing.
4. Wealth is not equal to success, you can be rich but not have what really matters. Those who have love and health and most of all salvation are the wealthy ones.
5. It is okay to feel sad when your dreams do not come true, and God understands that.
6. Seeking wisdom will always pay off in the long run.
7. Following the right path, which means obeying God is always going to be the best choice.
I hope this short reflection has encouraged you today. You can listen to chapter 13 below.
